Lusitania captain’s gold watch donated to museum

A gold pocket watch that belonged to the captain of the Lusitania has been donated to a museum in the north-west of England.
The watch was originally the possession of Captain William Turner, who survived the sinking of the luxury liner in 1915 after it was struck by a German U-boat submarine off the coast of Ireland while it was travelling to Liverpool from New York.br /em style=font-size:11px;The news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited copy; and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council./em
