Gold coins proposed to commemorate top US generals

A bill proposing the creation of gold coins to commemorate some of America’s most famous five-star generals has passed the country’s House of Representatives. The draft legislation would authorise the striking of 100,000 gold $5 pieces bearing portraits of generals Dwight Eisenhower, Douglas MacArthur, Henry Arnold, George Marshall and Omar Bradley, all of whom either taught at or attended the US Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. br /em style=font-size:11px;The news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited copy; and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council./em
